Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice has marked a "surreal" career milestone.

The professional dancer took to Instagram yesterday (April 23) to reveal that he has sold out his show at the London Palladium for the second year in a row, which comes as part of his Let Me Entertain You tour.

Sharing a clip of himself taking his bow on stage to a long standing ovation, Giovanni wrote on Instagram: "Don’t mind me, I’m just a bloke from Sicily, taking in that I have managed to sell out The London Palladium for another year with my OWN SOLO SHOW…

"What a surreal night and amazing atmosphere. Thank you to every person who came along and made this such a speacial night. I love you all, G," he added.

The big achievement comes after Giovanni revealed last week that he plans to take a break after his The Last Dance tour next year.

"I have had a wonderful time this year on my solo tour and already looking forward to even bigger and better next year!" he shared on Instagram.

"After performing in front of over half a million people for seven years in row, I plan to take a little break after next year's tour," he added, before encouraging fans to book tickets.

Earlier this month, the dancer marked the end of his travel series Anton & Giovanni's Adventures in Spain with Anton Du Beke, calling the trip "another amazing journey with my best friend".

"Last episode of our latest tv series!" he said. "Thank you so much for watching and if you missed you can still catch up on @bbciplayer. Question… where next?"

The pair previously collaborated on Anton & Giovanni's Adventures in Sicily.

Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
