Strictly Come Dancing: The 9 best dance routines ever seen on the BBC show

This year’s Strictly Come Dancing draws to a close tonight with Danny Mac, Louise Redknapp and Ore Oduba battling it out for the glitterball trophy.

Now in its fourteenth run, the series has seen some exceptional routines over the past few years let alone months (we're not just talking about Ed Balls).

To celebrate, we've collected 9 of the best from the show's 13 series including fan favourites Sophie Ellis Bextor, Kara Tointon and Jay Mcguiness' Pulp Fiction 'twist.'

Chris Hollins' Charleston

Chris Hollins and his dance partner Ola Jordan performed a brilliant routine to "Fat Sam's Grand Slam" made famous by Bugsy Malone.

Kelly Brooks's Rumba

Kelly Brook & Brendan Cole performed a delicate Rumba that became an instant favourite amongst fans.

Ashley Taylor Dawson’s Salsa

Ashley Taylor Dawson and Ola Jordan danced rings around their rivals when they performed their Salsa in 2012. A standing ovation from the crowd who just loved to "Conga".

Sophie Ellis Bextor’s Charleston

Mark Ramprakash’s Salsa

Kara Tointon’s Waltz

Kara Tointon & Artem Chigvintsev dazzled the audience with their expertly crafted Waltz. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite winner over Craig who only scored the dance a 9, unlike every other judge.

Jill Halfpenny’s Jive

The pair dominated series 2, and four years later they returned to the dance floor to perform their perfect scoring Jive.

Abbey Clancy’s Samba

These two won the 2013 competition, partly in thanks to their inspired Samba to George Michael’s "Faith".

Gethin Jones's Waltz

Gethin Jones and Camilla Dallerup's heartbreaking Waltz to "If I Were a Painting" wowed judges, scoring an almost perfect 39.
