Stranger Things 5 on Netflix: Where to watch the cast while you wait

Stranger Things spoilers ahead.

Stranger Things is edging closer toward its final season and we are going to have to be seriously patient for it… as it looks like we've got to wait a while.

When season 4 dropped last year, it proved once and for all that Stranger Things is unmatched in being worthy of all the hype it has.

But hey, we're here for you on this one – and so are the cast, who have a whole load of things in the pipeline before they return to Hawkins one last time.

Don't be spinning into the Upside Down with boredom, here's where you can catch your fave faces while you wait for the new release…

Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven)

Millie Bobby Brown's portrayal of Eleven has catapulted her career without a doubt – and as you can imagine, she is incredibly busy over the next year or so.

Up next she'll appear in adventure movie Damsel, about a girl who fights back when she's promised to be married to a prince, only to be turned into a sacrifice for a dragon. It's due for an October 13 release date on Netflix, and is currently in post-production.

She's also been officially attached to become a con-artist in The Girls I've Been, an adaptation of Tess Sharpe's novel.

Other projects currently in pre-production are drama The Thing About Jellyfish, about a girl who investigates her best friend's mysterious death, and The Electric State – which sees her travel across the US with a robot to find her younger brother. Ke Huy Quan from Everything, Everywhere All At Once will voice the robot.

David Harbour (Hopper)

David "Daddy Harbs" Harbour is another of the cast that never seems to slow down – with no less than five projects in production, not including any potential stage productions he signs up to (as he's done those before as well).

We Have A Ghost drops on Netflix on February 24 and Gran Turismo is due to drop in cinemas on August 11.

He's also returning to the MCU in Thunderbolts as Red Guardian which is due for release in 2024.

There's also two true-crime projects he's attached to in pre-production – The Trashers, which focuses on the rise and fall of Jimmy Galante, and TV series My Dentist's Murder Trial – starring opposite Pedro Pascal as the accused dentist in question.

Finn Wolfhard (Mike)

Away from Mike Wheeler, Finn Wolfhard has another successful franchise in the shape of Ghostbusters: Afterlife. The sequel is expected to be released in December 2023.

In The Legend of Ochi, which is currently in production, he teams up with Willem Dafoe and Emily Watson in a fantasy adventure that follows a girl who discovers the power of animal communication.

He'll also be lending his voice to New-Gen, starring alongside Game Of Thrones' Lena Headey, The Witcher's Anya Chalotra, and his brother, Nick Wolfhard.

Finally, he's attached to horror Hell Of A Summer, which is in production – a film he wrote and is also directing.

That's all on top of his continuing music career as well… this guy doesn't stop!

Noah Schnapp (Will)

Noah Schnapp melted hearts everywhere as the tortured Will Byers – and while we wait for a conclusion on his story of identity, the actor only has one story currently in the pipeline.

He's due to star in thriller The Tutor, a story of a tutor who is hired to educate a student who soon becomes fixated. Garrett Hedlund will co-star alongside him.

Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin)

Eternally proud nerd Dustin is a firm fan favourite – but even the happiest boy in Hawkins was knocked down a peg or two after the death of his close bud, Eddie Munson, in season four.

Off-screen, Gaten is actually a man for the stage. Beginning his career in Les Miserables as a child, he returned last year to Dear Evan Hansen and is now signed up to star as Tobias in Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber Of Fleet Street opposite Josh Groban, Annaleigh Ashford and Jordan Fisher.

His current screen project is lending his voice to Hump – an animation based on a camel trying to cross the Arabian desert.

Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas)

Caleb McLaughlin may be away from the Upside Down for now, but it appears his career is still very much in horror territory… and Indiana, it seems.

His next project, The Deliverance, focuses on a family in Indiana who start experiencing demonic forces in their home. Omar Epps, Mo'Nique and Glenn Close will star and it'll be released later this year.

He's also lined up for Pins and Needles, a top secret project starring Benedict Cumberbatch, James McAvoy, Anna Diop and LaKeith Stanfield. The project is now in production.

Finally, he's lending his voice to Warriors, an animation about a cat who joins a new tribe but struggles to fit in.

Sadie Sink (Max)

Sadie Sink was one of the stand-out stars of Stranger Things 4, and is now swept up in the awards circuit thanks to her role opposite Oscar-nominated Brendan Fraser in drama, The Whale.

She has two more projects in the pipeline – Berlin Nobody, which is due for release October 12, and O'Dessa, a musical film currently in pre-production.

Joe Keery (Steve)

Netflix

Joe Keery became so loved on the series, even his hair got its own Twitter account. As the family mum, no-one messes with Steve Harrington – and he almost lost his life in Stranger Things 4 because of it.

Coming up, he'll be turning his attention to drama, starring alongside Aldis Hodge and Camila Morrone in Marmalade – which sees a prison inmate retell the story of a bank heist.

After that, he'll be starring opposite Lily James and Willem Dafoe in Finalmente l'alba, a story of a woman discovering herself in 1950s Rome.

Cold Storage is currently in pre-production, and is a thriller tracking what happens when a virus breaks out of a government facility and wreaks havoc on the world.

Winona Ryder (Joyce)

Our '80s queen is the perfect protective mother in this retro series, and she continues to be incredible with her own projects in the works.

She's next heading over to the Disney-verse, joining the all-star cast of Haunted Mansion which is released on August 11.

She'll be starring alongside Jamie Lee Curtis, Rosario Dawson, Jared Leto, Owen Wilson, LaKeith Stanfield and Dan Levy in the project.

Maya Hawke (Robin)

When she's not being our fave '80s lesbian nerd in Stranger Things, Maya Hawke is another star who has been working as a musician as well as acting.

Her second album, Moss, was released in September last year, and she has since been performing across the US.

She's also set to star in five upcoming projects – thriller The Kill Room is released on June 8.

Rom-com Asteroid City, created by Wes Anderson drops June 23, with Maya starring alongside Tom Hanks, Margot Robbie, Hong Chau, Scarlett Johansson and Bryan Cranston.

She's also teaming up with her dad Ethan Hawke for Wildcat, the story of writer Flannery O'Connor which he has written and directed. This film is currently in production.

The pair will then reunite again and star on-screen together in project Revolver, which follows an obsessed Beatles fan who breaks in to the hotel the band is staying in.

Maestro, starring Bradley Cooper, Carey Mulligan and Matt Bomer, is currently in post-production with no release date.
