A GoFundMe initiative started to help Porn star Stormy Daniels blow up the defunct Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City is up and running after a bit of early dysfunction.

The New Jersey seaside town’s mayor announced Wednesday that a fundraiser benefiting The Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City was being launched, with the highest bidder winning the right to press the button that will start the implosion of the failed casino Trump built in 1984.

On Thursday, a GoFund Me account was started so that Daniels, who said she was paid off by the president’s lawyer to stay quiet about an alleged affair she had with Trump in 2006, would have the honor of setting that demolition in motion.

The fundraising site was taken down until GoFundMe was able to authenticate its connection to Daniels on Friday. Its operators told the Daily News they had restored the page and were reaching out to the site’s organizers to ensure the funds reach the Atlantic City charity linked to the demolition.

“What’s most important to us is that donors are protected, their intentions are honored, and that recipients receive the funds raised on their behalf,” a GoFundMe spokeswoman said.

Daniels, aka Stephanie Clifford, was initially upset when she heard the fundraiser set up by a fan had been taken off-line.

“For everyone asking for the link to donate, this is what happened,” Daniels Tweeted Thursday, linking to another Twitter account that broke the news her GoFundMe page was no longer online.

“Does anyone else have an idea?” Daniels asked. “I really want to do it ... and we all know I’m good at pressing buttons. LOL.”

The GoFundMe page benefiting Daniels’ efforts got the attention of fellow Trump antagonist and entertainer Bette Midler, who promoted it on her Twitter feed.

“I’ll drink to that!” she tweeted.

Midler also hinted she might pay top dollar to take down Trump Plaza on Jan. 29.

“Welp, there goes my daughter’s inheritance,” she tweeted. “Sorry, honey, Mommy’s got an itchy demo finger!”

There have been more than a dozen bids to blow up the failed casino, according to liveauctioneers.com, which lists the highest one so far at $55,000. Daniels’ site had collected $200 in its first hour after being restored around 3 p.m. Friday. Its goal is $1 million.

Daniels would hardly be the first to destroy a Trump casino. That honor goes to the brand’s namesake and its associates.

Trump Plaza in A.C. stood in its prime location for 30 years before closing in 2014, even surviving a 1992 bankruptcy. It had fallen into disrepair in recent years.

Trump properties that filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy also include the Trump Taj Mahal in 1991, Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts in 2004 and Trump Entertainment Resorts in 2009.

The president, then a real estate developer, cut ties with his Atlantic City operations in 2009, though his name temporarily remained on a couple of his casino properties that have since rebranded.

The president claims he was successful in his Atlantic City ventures and knew when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em, as gamblers say.

“Out of hundreds of deals — hundreds — on four occasions, I’ve taken advantage of the laws of this country, like other people,” Trump said when the subject came up during a 2016 debate.

He went on to win the GOP nomination and the presidency. Trump denies he had an affair with Daniels.
