Still Up Cancelled After One Season at Apple TV+

Still Up is down for the count. Apple TV+ has cancelled the rom-com after a single season, Deadline reports.

The British series starred Antonia Thomas (The Good Doctor) and Craig Roberts (Red Oaks) as best friends Lisa and Danny. Bonded by insomnia, they stay connected to each other, late into the night, and found their way through a world of “wonderfully weird surprises” as their relationship deepened over time.

In addition to Thomas and Roberts, the cast included Blake Harrison (The Inbetweeners) as Veggie, Lisa’s reliable, kind, eternally optimistic partner; Lois Chimimba (The Outlaws) as Amy, the forthright and funny woman Danny meets on a dating app; Luke Fetherston (Pandora) as Adam, Danny’s helpful fireman neighbor who lives across the hall; and Rich Fulcher (Kidding) as Cat Man, Danny’s strange neighbor with a penchant for cats.

A total of eight episodes were produced. Its Season 1 finale, which will now have to serve as a series finale, dropped Oct. 27.

Still Up marks Apple’s second cancellation this month. The streaming service previously dropped the ax on Noomi Rapace sci-fi drama Constellation, also after one season.
