Steve Irwin's Widow Terri Reflects on One of Their Final Christmases: 'Cherish Every Moment'

Terri Irwin is looking back on one of the last Christmases her family shared together before the untimely death of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin.

The family matriarch took to Instagram on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2023, reflecting on the Christmas season of 2003, which she called "Best month. Best Christmas. Best family," before encouraging followers to "cherish every moment. ❤️."

In the sweet snap, Terri and Steve appear to sit against the headboard of their bed, with a colorful floral arrangement set on top of their nightstand. The proud parents leaned their heads together close while Bindi, who was 5 years old at the time, sat happily in her dad's lap and mom and dad each propped up Robert, who was just a sleeping infant at the time, in between them.

Her children, of course, have taken her advice to heart, documenting heartfelt moments with their families and historic moments in their father's legacy for all the world to see, much to the delight of fans and conservationists around the world.

"You and your husband inspired me to study Biology and acquire land for conservation in the Amazon basin. Thank you and your family," one shared in the comments.

"Such a beautiful picture of you all ❤️ Your family has thrived in the face of tremendous loss. Steve was a wonderful unique man who is missed by the world. Your children are carrying his legacy forward. Merry Christmas and God Bless you all ❤️ 🙏🎄," another wrote.

"The positive energy never goes away. I used to wonder how you did it. Now I understand. You are it!" someone else complimented.
