Get a Peek at Sam Heughan's New Thriller 'The Couple Next Door'

If you are already pining for a new Sam Heughan fix since Outlander Season 7 wrapped, STARZ has a treat in store. As previously revealed, the hot Scot, who plays Jamie Fraser in the series based on the novels by New York Times bestselling author Diana Gabaldon, will be starring in another series for the premium channel: The Couple Next Door.

And today, Sam released the sexy trailer for the thriller, which will air first in the U.K. before moving to the U.S. in 2024.

Earlier this year, STARZ released photos from the upcoming 2024 six-part, psychological drama, which will take viewers on an addictive, emotional roller coaster ride as it looks at how we never know what goes on behind closed doors.

In an earlier release, Heughan, who also headlines the reality series Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam and Graham said, “l’m thrilled to be working with Eagle Eye Drama and director Dries Vos again and adding a third series with my STARZ family. Dries has a unique visual flair and I’m sure we’re going to make something special.”

In The Couple Next Door, Heughan will play a modern-day traffic cop, Danny, who shares a passionate night with his beautiful but troubled neighbor Evie (Eleanor Tomlinson), which sets off a series of life-changing events.

Starring with Heughan is the aforementioned Tomlinson, as well as Jessica De Gouw and Alfred Enoch.

Here is the official synopsis: “When Evie (Tomlinson) and Pete (Enoch) move into an upscale neighborhood, they find themselves in a world of curtain twitching and status anxiety. But soon find friendship in the shape of the couple next door, alpha traffic cop Danny (Heughan) and his wife, glamorous yoga instructor Becka (De Gouw). As time goes on, these two couples get increasingly close to each other and one fateful night, become sexually entangled in a way that will change their lives forever…”

Production wrapped filming earlier this summer on locations in Leeds and Belgium.
