Stark County projects receive Ohio EPA grants

Five Stark County entities were among the 159 local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations throughout Northeast Ohio that recently received grants from the Ohio EPA, according to a news release.

Local governments and other entities use these grants for recycling, litter prevention, market development, and scrap tire recycling programs.

These projects in Stark County were approved for funding for the 2024 program year:

  • GentleBrook, Inc., $7,590 for water bottle refilling station

  • Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, Inc., $10,000 for water bottle refilling station

  • SCRPC Services Inc, aka The Stock Pile, $51,634 for recycling equipment

  • St. Michael the Archangel Church, $25,000 for surveillance cameras

  • Stark-Tuscarawas-Wayne County Recycling District, $100,000 for drop-off recycling
