Last year's Stark County-area boys basketball scoring leader is back on top this year.

After missing the first nine games of the season due to a foot injury, Lake senior guard Chance Casenhiser finally has played enough games to qualify for the Canton Repository's area leaders. And his 22.5 points a game lead the area in scoring, according to stats submitted entering this week.

Casenhiser, who averaged 23.2 points last year, became Lake's all-time scoring leader last weekend. He scored 34 points in a win against Massillon and pushed his career total to 1,181, surpassing the previous mark of 1,177 by Eric Coblentz.
