Here is the full Star Wars: Legion roadmap covering new releases from May 2024 to Q3 2025:

  • May 2024: Range Troopers (Empire), Clone Commandos (Republic)

  • July 2024: Bad Batch (Republic and Rebels)

  • Q4 2024: Rebel Sleeper Cell (Rebels), Imperial Riot Control Squad (Empire), LM-432 Crab Droid (Separatists)

  • Q1 2025: Outer Rim Battles Terrain Pack, Aqua Droids (Separatists), ARF Troopers (Republic), ARF Trooper Jedi Attachment (Republic)

  • Q2 2025: Rebel Troopers Resculpt, Rebel Commandos Resculpt, Stormtroopers Resculpt, Imperial Scout Troopers Resculpt

  • Q3 2025: Obi-Wan Kenobi Resculpt, General Grievous Resculpt

Aside from brand-new announcements, Atomic Mass Games revealed additional details on the units already known to be available soon, such as the Range Troopers reinforcing the Empire in May 2024. Though an infantry squad, these troops surprisingly won’t be a Corps Unit – instead, they’ll fill a Support Unit slot.

They’ll come with a new keyword, Advanced Targeting: Trooper 1, which gives them the ability to gain a free aim token after declaring an attack on an enemy trooper unit and before measuring range. In return, this unit can’t split up its attack pool.

With Range 4 on its regular weapons and Range 5 on the optional DLT-20A trooper you can add to the squad, the Range Troopers will be a difficult enemy to face on the battlefield. Their biggest drawback is probably their lack of tools to get through cover and hefty cost.

Details on the highly-anticipated Clone Commandos for the Republic were revealed as well: Like the Range Troopers, they’ll be a Support Unit, not Special Forces as previously thought. Coming in with only one HP, they look fragile at first glance, but that’s deceptive – Commandos have the Shielded 1 keyword and come with a piece of unique equipment, the Katarn Pattern Armor. This can soak wounds for its wearers and is a free upgrade for them.

Their new keyword, Complete the Mission, buffs their capabilities when they’re near a Priority Mission Token, which is a new token the Republic player can place on the table. It looks like they’ll be an excellent force to hold key locations on the battlefield. Details on Delta Squad from the Republic Commando video game, which can be built from the same box as the regular unit, are still being kept hidden. Clone Commandos will be out in May 2024.

Available for Republic as an Operative Unit in July 2024 will be the Bad Batch from the animated series of the same name. Mechanically, each member is a free trooper upgrade for the unit – a trick that allowed the developers to give each of them some unique capabilities. Omega will be included in the box as well, though she can only be added to the Bad Batch when it’s fighting as a mercenary unit on the side of the Rebels.

Speaking of rebel scum, Q4 2024 will bring a new unit for the Rebel Alliance in the form of the Rebel Sleeper Cell. There aren’t any major details on this squad yet, though it’s been said that they’ll represent the sort of underground sabotage and guerilla activities we seen in shows like Andor – composed of a variety of species with diverse weaponry as well as an astromech droid, it’s already a visual hit at least.

Countering this release in Q4 2024 on the side of the Galactic Empire will be the Imperial Riot Control Squad. It will consist of Stormtroopers with an array of close-range weaponry like riot shields, energy batons, and pistols and include several K2 Security Droids, which is a really cool addition. This unit is sure to provide the Empire with some additional versatility.

Another unit planned to be launched in Q4 2024 are the LM-432 Crab Droids for the Separatists. Seemingly coming in a squad of two models, these creature-like droids should be specialists for close-range combat.

For Q1 2025, players can expect the brand-new Outer Rim Battles Terrain Pack, a box that nets you some ruined structures, low walls, and rubble with which to form thematic cover options on your table.

Planned for the same timeframe are Aqua Droids for the Separatists and ARF Troopers for the Republic. These will come hand in hand with a very exciting addition – a Jedi Attachment box, allowing you to upgrade your ARF as well as ARC Troopers with generic Jedi models to get an additional batch of lightsabers to the frontlines. Fans have been asking for this for a while.

Also revealed were impressive hard plastic resculpts for General Grievous and Obi-Wan Kenobi, due to arrive in Q3 2024, following the Q2 resculpts for Rebel Troopers, Rebel Commandos, Stormtroopers, and Scout Troopers.
