St. Louis cops locate stolen funeral van with dead woman inside, 2 people arrested
A man and woman were arrested Friday in Missouri after they stole a funeral van with a body inside, cops said.
The two unidentified suspects swiped the van Thursday from a QuikTrip in Spanish Lake in the northern part of St. Louis, according to police.
They were tracked to Festus, Mo., about 50 miles south of the convenience store, and detained Friday morning, local Fox affiliate KTVI reported. The van and the woman’s body were both recovered.

The dead woman has not been identified, but her family has been notified, police said. The van belongs to William C. Harris Funeral Home.
Cops said the van’s driver left the vehicle running while he stopped at the QuikTrip and it was missing when he walked out.
