Sprinkles Cupcakes confirms Lubbock opening day, details plans
Sweet treats will soon be available all day, every day, thanks to the addition of a bakery and two cupcake ATMS in Lubbock.
Sprinkles Cupcakes, a Texas-headquartered bakery company, began in 2005 and opened their most-known innovation - a cupcake ATM - in 2012. These ATMs allow people to get a cupcake whenever the craving hits, with fresh cupcakes stocked daily.
On Nov. 9, 2023, the first Sprinkles bakery and cupcake ATM will open in Lubbock at 8004 Quaker Ave. The second cupcake ATM will open at the 114.Slide development in a few weeks.

"Texas has been an outstanding market for Sprinkles," said Gabriella Mosqueda, marketing spokesperson for the Lubbock location. "Our bakeries in Houston, Dallas and Austin are some of our most popular, so expanding our footprint to West Texas and the Hub City was a natural choice for expanding outwards in Texas."
As part of the opening day, the first 50 customers will receive a free cupcake. The first 200 customers will be entered for a chance to win free cupcakes for a year.
The bakery's hours will be 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Sunday. When ordering inside the bakery, customers will order through tablets and pay via card, as this is a cashless business.

"When the founder, Candance Nelson, first opened Sprinkles, her vision was to change up the everyday cupcakes you find at the grocery store, to a luxury dessert for everyone to enjoy, from kids to adults to dogs," Mosqueda said. "Sprinkles offers premium cupcakes, cakes and cookies that are baked fresh daily and handcrafted with only the finest ingredients."
The bakery will offer their signature cupcakes, along with cakes, cookies and pup-cakes for dogs. The fan-favorite cupcake is their iconic red velvet, along with the Sprinkles, dark chocolate and salted caramel.
"My personal favorite is the triple cinnamon, because it has buttercream icing with cinnamon on top, and I love cinnamon," Mosqueda said. "It's my absolute favorite. We also have pup-cakes, which my dog loves so much."
Along with the classic flavors, new flavors are introduced every month. The holiday flavors will include chocolate peppermint, gingerbread, and the favorite Christmas cookie.
People can customize their orders online with flavors, decorations and by uploading a photo to put on the cupcakes.

Orders can be done through the Sprinkles Now app, sprinkles.com, or at the store and cupcake ATMS. People can follow the bakery on Instagram, follow the hashtag #SprinklesLBK, and sign up for email and SMS notifications for the latest news.
