Spring Valley man accused of burglaries at multiple locations throughout the village

A Spring Valley man was charged with multiple burglaries after he was released from custody from a prior burglary, police said.

Spring Valley police Det. Matthew Galli said Dairin Aguirre, 21, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary on May 9 after allegedly stealing money from a closed Staples store on 230 W. Route 59 around 8 a.m. that same day.

Galli said Aguirre was charged with third-degree burglary and released with an appearance ticket for a future court date.

During the following week, Galli said, Spring Valley police responded to four more burglary reports at different locations, including 35 Lawrence St., 19 East Church Street twice, and again at 230 W. Route 59.

Police said Aguirre was named the suspect in each of the other burglaries. He was arrested May 20 and arraigned by Judge Thomas Mascola. Aguirre is currently remanded at Rockland County Jail.
