Armada Nutrition LLC, a subsidiary of Nagase & Co. of Japan, will reportedly invest $5 million to create 50 jobs and expand its current production in Spring Hill.

The announcement was made Tuesday by Gov. Bill Lee, Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and Armada Nutrition officials.

“I thank Armada Nutrition for its commitment to creating 50 new jobs for families in Spring Hill and Maury County," Lee said. "The exceptional workforce across this region will greatly benefit from these highly skilled positions, and we look forward to seeing the success that follows this expansion.”

Armada Nutrition specializes in manufacturing high quality nutritional powders used by national and global nutrition brands, which as of today are solely developed, processed and packaged in Spring Hill.

The announcement was also applauded by state leaders representing Maury County workers, such as Sen. Joey Hensley, R-Hohenwald.

"Today’s announcement by Armada Nutrition is great news for Maury County. The expansion of their operations in Spring Hill not only signifies economic growth but also underscores our commitment to fostering innovation and job creation," Hensley said.

"This move showcases our region’s appeal as a hub for cutting edge manufacturing. We welcome this expansion and look forward to the continued success of Armada Nutrition.”

Rep. Scott Cepicky, R-Culleoka, agreed, saying the expansion is "great news for Maury County."

"I was excited to learn of their expansion, which is going to create dozens of new jobs in Maury County," Cepicky said. "It’s a great thing when thriving businesses grow, and I’m proud Armada Nutrition is continuing to invest in our area.”

Since 2020, TNECD has supported nearly 15 economic development projects in Maury County, resulting in approximately 3,400 job commitments and $4.8 billion in capital investment.

Recently, Maury County was ranked by SmartAsset in the top 10 in capital investments in the U.S. and first in the state.
