Brad Stevens says his identity was stolen during Celtics' very bad week
Brad Stevens has had better weeks.
The Boston Celtics coach's team is reeling after three straight ugly losses over the last few days, and he's apparently feeling the pain a few other ways. During an appearance on 98.5 FM's "Zolak and Bertrand" show, Stevens revealed that he had been dealing with a root canal and identity theft in the last week:

I was just telling my wife, I had a root canal and my identity stolen last week and I think those were two of my better days in the last eight days. It's just been what it is," Stevens said.
"It was the real stuff. People were trying to open cards and all this stuff," Stevens said, via Keith Smith. "Calling Target to open account. Like I would have an interest in opening a Target account right now during this stretch."
Add that to the Celtics losing to the New Orleans Pelicans, Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks — none of whom are above .500 right now — and that definitely qualifies as a bad week. Most troubling was the loss to the Hawks, in which the Celtics were down by more than 20 points early in the second quarter.
The Celtics currently sit at 15-17 and on the brink of falling out of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Fortunately for Stevens, Celtics majority owner Wyc Grousbeck has already indicated his job isn't on the line, so that removes the possibility of another awful week down the line.
