Katie Ledecky is usually pretty invincible in the pool, but the legendary United States Olympic swimmer couldn’t bring home the gold on Sunday night.

The all-time United States women’s swimmer finished in second place, good for the silver medal, in the 400M freestyle final on Sunday evening.

Ledecky was defeated by her biggest competitor, Australian star Ariarne Titmus, who took home the gold medal in an incredible time.

While this was a “loss” for Ledecky, it was still a pretty incredible performance from the legendary American.

It was the fastest 1-2 in the history of the event, as noted by Sports Illustrated’s Pat Forde.

Ledecky was extremely complimentary of Titmus following the race. Titmus’ coach, meanwhile, was incredibly pumped up at the finish of the event.

Ledecky is far from done at these Olympics.

The Washington, D.C. native is still set to compete in the 200m, the 800m and the 1500m freestyle events. Ledecky is arguably the gold medal favorite in all of those events.

Coverage of the Summer Olympics continues on NBC on Sunday evening.
