On Thursday night, former NFL quarterback Drew Brees made his commentating debut with NBC ahead of the NFL’s season-opener.

The 42-year-old landed a gig with NBC earlier this offseason. He’ll be doing work for Thursday Night Football and Sunday Night Football specials.

Before Thursday night’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brees joined Mike Tirico and Tony Dungy on NBC’s Thursday Night Football desk. Fans noticed something different about the longtime New Orleans Saints quarterback.

Towards the end of his career, it seemed like the star quarterback was starting to lose his hair. However, when he showed up on camera Thursday night, Brees was sporting a healthy head of hair.

Here’s a photo of Brees from the season-opener last night.

Of course, those watching the pre-game analysis couldn’t help but notice Brees’ new locks. Fans weren’t exactly sure how it happened, but that face that his hair returned in full force stole the attention of the masses.

ESPN NFL insider Field Yates even suggested his hairline deserves NFL Comeback Player of the Year honors.

To be frank, there are plenty of tools and methods out there for people suffering through hair loss. For a quarterback who made nearly $270 million over the course of his career, regaining his hair isn’t exactly a challenge.

As long as Brees is happy with the result, that’s all that matters.
