Charles Barkley made a special appearance on ESPN’s Peyton and Eli Manning Monday Night Football broadcast this week.

The Turner Sports analyst was among the first guests for Peyton and Eli Manning’s telecast, which will air next to ESPN’s primary Monday Night Football broadcast for several weeks this year.

Barkley was his typical entertaining self. However, he also got some special praise for his jersey choice.

The former NBA star wore a Carl Nassib jersey. The Oakland Raiders defensive lineman became the NFL’s first openly gay active player earlier this year.

Fans were appreciative of Barkley’s appearance.

“Chuck is a good man. Didn’t know he cared about Nassib’s significance but it’s not surprising either, just another story to add to Barkley’s list of random acts of kindness,” one fan tweeted.

“Didn’t even realize this live. Well done by Chuck. And Nassib made the big play! Forgot about Nassib coming out this off-season tbh. Which seems like it isn’t a bad thing,” another fan added.

As Outsports pointed out, Barkley has always supported LGBTQ people in sports.

“Every player has played with gay guys,” Barkley told the Washington Post in 2011. “It bothers me when I hear these reporters and jocks get on TV and say, ‘Oh, no guy can come out in a team sport. These guys would go crazy.’ First of all, quit telling me what I think. I’d rather have a gay guy who can play than a straight guy who can’t play.”

Well done, Charles.
