NFL fans, at least in the New York area, have been sent into a semi-panic this afternoon by CBS’ outage across several cable services.

Right as the network was set to broadcast Browns-Chiefs, screens went blank. The blackout wasn’t just limited to one service provider either.

Obviously, fans are irate, but there are also a lot of NFL media members based in and around New York.

They’re beside themselves wondering how this could happen on one of the biggest days of the year for the network.

Sports media reporter Andrew Marchand of the New York Post is on the case, and said he’s reached out to CBS for an explanation on what the problem is.

We’ll see if CBS can get itself straightened out.

In the meantime, anybody who has not been able to watch the first quarter-plus of Cbiefs-Browns has missed Kansas City scoring touchdowns on its first two drives to take a 13-3 lead early in the second quarter.
