Sports Media World Reacts To The Skip Bayless Situation

A heated on-air moment between FOX Sports 1’s Jenny Taft and Skip Bayless has gone viral on social media this afternoon.

Taft and Bayless batted heads over the latter’s comment on Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy.

“I’m not taking a shot at him with this, but he’s a little heavy,” Bayless said following episode one of Hard Knocks. “I wouldn’t want my head coach in the National Football League to not look the part at all.”

Taft clapped back hard.

“Is everyone who’s a good coach as fit as you, Skip? I don’t think that’s a fair shot whatsoever,” Taft said. “I’ve actually had plenty of coaches that didn’t have the perfect physique, including my college coach, so I don’t think that’s a fair shot.”

Taft added: “I’m allowed to have an opinion, Skip. I’m allowed to say whatever I want to say on this show, as you do too.”

Unsurprisingly, Taft is getting major praise for standing up to Skip.

Good for Jenny Taft.

Episode 1 of Hard Knocks debuted on HBO last night. This year’s edition of the show features the Dallas Cowboys. Naturally, the show is already generating a lot of discussion, as evidenced by what happened on Undisputed this morning.

The second episode will air next Tuesday at 10 p.m. E.T.
