Spectacular: Thursday's MetroWest and Milford-area Fantastic Five high school athletes

Thursday's MetroWest and Milford-area Fantastic Five turned into more of a Spectacular Seven.

That's what happens when so many elite performances occur on the same day.

Without further ado, see who stood out Thursday, May 2:

LIZZIE BRYTOWSKI, Hopedale softball

She punched out 17 of the 21 batters she faced and didn't allow a hit in an 11-1 win over Assabet. Brytowski also doubled and launched a three-run homer for the Blue Raiders (10-1). Hopedale's Kelsey Evans had three hits and drove in a run and Mia Casey plated a pair.

ALICIA ELLIS, Millis softball

She launched a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth to deliver a 4-3 win over Norwood in extra innings. Molly Rand also had a two-run homer for Millis (5-5, 4-4 Tri-Valley League).

SAHASRA JANGAREDDI, AMSA girls tennis

She survived three sets at No. 3 singles to secure a 3-2 victory against Notre Dame Academy for the Eagles. Jangareddi won the first set against Jaanvi Patel 6-1, before falling 4-6 in Set 2. With the match hanging in the balance, Jangareddi prevailed 6-3. The Eagles (3-7) swept both doubles points. AMSA No. 1 pair Ava Daly and Stella Damoukalis beat Agatha Mihopoulous and Saylor de Wit 6-2, 6-2, while Katima Gakis and Riley Whittier prevailed 6-3, 6-0 against Avery Carbonneau and Maya Rogers.

NATE GULACHENSKI, Algonquin boys lacrosse

He turned away 14 shots in a 9-0 win over Shrewsbury for his first career shutout. Caden Hansen earned a hat trick, while Garrett Willworth and Paulo Knapp tallied two goals each for the Titans (7-3, 5-2 Mid-Wach A).

ANNA MAGENNIS & JULIA SCHREIBER, Ashland girls lacrosse

They each notched milestone goals in a 15-2 win over Bellingham. Magennis had seven points with three goals and four assists, scoring her 200th career goal for the Clockers (10-2, 8-2 TVL). Schreiber notched career goal No. 100 with four tallies. Ashland's Lilli Viti had two goals and an assist each, while Olivia Boulanger, Emma Chapman, Morgan Dubanowitz and Ashley Forster each found the net once.

BELLA ROMAN, Algonquin girls lacrosse

She poured in five goals, including the 100th of her career, in a 10-8 win over Shrewsbury. Roman also added an assist for the Titans (7-3, 4-2 Mid-Wach A). Algonquin's Ella Nofsinger had two goals and two assists, while Grace Chiota added two goal and one assist.

DYLAN RUFF, Hopkinton baseball

He drove in four runs with a home run, as the Hillers bested Dover-Sherborn, 6-2. Hopkinton's Nick Pedroli had three hits including a double and added an RBI and scored a run. Will Morgan scored two runs and singled for the Hillers. Dover-Sherborn's Grant Wyers singled twice.

Baseball

BLACKSTONE VALLEY TECH 7, Northbridge 3: Jack Krauss hit a two-run double, and Jackson Manosh had a pinch-hit RBI single in the sixth inning for the Beavers (9-2). BVT's Jack Marino earned the win after not allowing a hit over 1 2/3 innings of relief.

WEST BRIDGEWATER 15, Tri-County 11: Cam Cummings (three RBIs) and Dylan Maw had three hits each for the Cougars (5-3). Tri-County's Nathan McCurdy added three RBIs and a hit.

AMSA 5, Douglas 0: Trevor Petty struck out eight and walked one in a four hit shutout, and Michael Domino went 3-for-4 with a run for the Eagles (6-3).

MEDWAY 4, Medfield 0: Garrett O'Mara provided the game's only runs with a grand slam in the third inning for the Mustangs (3-8, 3-7 TVL).

Softball

TRI-COUNTY 15, Blackstone-Millville 2: Neila Shweitzer struck out 11 batters to earn the win and added a double and three RBIs for the Cougars (8-2). Tri-County's Hayley Kunicki was 3-for-3 with four RBIs. Mackenzie Duffy homered and doubled, while Ava Cossette, Breann MacMillan, Braelynn MacMillan and Madison Benoit (double) contributed two hits each.

MEDWAY 6, Medfield 5: Katie Anderson tripled among her two hits, while Allyson Fagan contributed two hits for the Mustangs (7-3).

Boys lacrosse

ASHLAND 15, Bellingham 7: Andrew Klay and Bryce Pelletier amassed four points each for the Clockers. Klay had a hat trick with an assist, while Pelletier distributed three assists with a goal for Ashland. Ashland's Nicholas Boomer (assist) and Alex Dinsdale found the net twice each. Bellingham's Brady Carroll put away a hat trick, while Jack Baker had two goals and went 21-4 at the face off X.

AMSA 11, Littleton 4: Tavin Hirsh gathered three goals and three assists, Andrew McCabe scored three goals and Colin Glynn had one goal and two assists for the Eagles (9-0).

FRAMINGHAM 14, Braintree 3: Henry Goldberg put away five goals with three assists for the Flyers (6-5). Framingham's Connor Claflin scored four times with an assist, while Alex Trierweiler contributed three assists and two goals.

HOPKINTON 15, Dover-Sherborn 10: Logan DelPonte put away four goals with two assists for the Hillers (9-1). Hopkinton goalie Nate Burns saved 18 shots.

HOLLISTON 14, Dedham 5: Tyler Smith put away five goals with three assists for the Panthers (4-5), while Ethan Anastasia won 22-of-23 face offs.

Girls lacrosse

WESTBOROUGH 14, Tahanto 12: Katherine Sams led the Rangers (10-2) with four goals and an assist. Westborough's Cayla Ehrlich had a hat trick and an assist.

TRI-COUNTY 12, Bay Path 4: Freshman Leah Hull scored her first career goal for the Cougars (2-7).

NORTHBRIDGE 18, Blackstone Valley Tech 7: Isabella Grabau had four goals for the Beavers (2-6).

SHEPHERD HILL 11, Marlborough 9: Ella Hobin also had a hat trick for the Panthers (2-8, 2-4 Mid-Wach C), while Shayla Ramon and Kyra Duane each scored twice.

Boys volleyball

MARLBOROUGH 3, Ayer-Shirley 0: Caleb Pereira distributed 27 assists in the 25-18, 25-11, 25-21 win for the Panthers (10-3).

BC HIGH 3, Wayland 1: Joe Kelly posted a double-double with 20 kills and 1 digs in the 25-21, 21-2, 25-21, 25-19 loss. Wayland's Joey Burke distributed 41 assists and three aces. Dylan Engelhardt pulled up 11 digs with 10 kills for the Warriors (7-4).

Girls tennis

MILLIS 4, Norwood 1: Olivia Fong rallied through three sets at No. 1 singles  2-6, 6-2, 6-1 for Millis (4-4, 3-4 TVL). Millis' Amelia Staples picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles, and Millis swept both doubles points. No. 1 pair Addy Loer and Tessa Molinaro prevailed 6-1, 6-1, while Macy Schneiderat and Izzy Doherty won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2.

SHREWSBURY 3, Hopedale 2: Pia Obrador picked up a point for the Blue Raiders (4-2) at No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-2 over Aanya Gupta. Hopedale's No. 1 doubles team of Abbie Aldrich and Callie Costanza bested Riddhi Gulati and Amna Siddiqui in three sets 2-6, 7-5 and 10-7 in the tiebreak.

HUDSON 4, Shepherd Hill 1; SHEPHERD HILL 3, Hudson 2: Sophie Charbonneau (No. 2) singles and Vivian Weatherbee (No. 3 singles) each went 2-0, as the Hawks split a doubleheader. Charbonnea bested Victoria Strzemecka 8-0 in the first match and 8-1 in the second, while Vivian Weatherbee preaviled 8-1 over Ashley Heath in Match 1 and 8-2 against Sinead Ennis in Match 2.

WELLESLEY 5, Andover 0: Masha Shutts and Julia Lynch prevailed in three sets 4-6, 6-1, 10-2 to help the Raiders (8-1) secure a sweep.

Boys track and field

BLACKSTONE VALLEY TECH 90, Parker Charter 54: The Beavers swept the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes and held the top six spots in the long jump.

Girls golf

WESTBOROUGH 27, Quabbin 23: Shelby Drayer earned the medalist honor at Westborough Country Club with a 46 for the Rangers (8-2).
