Spartans 2-1 Aberdeen: What the managers said

Spartans manager Jack Beesley:

"For the first 20/25 minutes I thought we were a bit all over the place, I don't know if we didn't manage the emotion around the game well enough.

"Straight from the start of the second half we showed better aggression, carried a bit more of a threat.

"It was a close game but I'm happy to get the win and finish the season on a high."

Aberdeen manager Clinton Lancaster:

"I thought we played really well in the first half, I thought we controlled the game quite well but I think Spartans were the better team in the second half.

"On the whole the season has been a good one for us but for me I'm just so proud of how the players have played.

"I hope the team can kick on from next season under whoever the new manager is. I wish the players all the best, everybody has certainly made my time really enjoyable."
