HATTIESBURG — Southern Miss baseball begins a three-game series at Pete Taylor Park on Thursday against Troy.
The Golden Eagles (16-9, 4-2 Sun Belt Conference) are coming off a 9-4 win over Tulane in which Carson Paetow flirted with the program's first cycle since 2003.
Troy (17-9, 3-3) beat Florida A&M on Tuesday. It won its first conference series against ULM but lost two of three games to South Alabama last weekend. Southern Miss is 19-9 all-time against the Trojans and has won seven of the last eight meetings.
