MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Southern Miss baseball's defense of its Sun Belt Conference tournament championship begins Wednesday.
The No. 2 seed Golden Eagles (37-18, 20-10) are facing off against No. 7 seed Coastal Carolina at Riverwalk Stadium. They played each other at the beginning of May, with Southern Miss sweeping the weekend series in Hattiesburg. Coastal Carolina (34-21, 16-14) beat Georgia State 5-1 on Tuesday.
