A Cincinnati street will soon be renamed after Cincinnati Reds legend Dave Parker.

The corner of Borden Street and Elmore Street in South Cumminsville will be renamed Dave Parker Way in honor of the Reds Hall of Famer on Wednesday, Nov. 1. A ceremony will be held at 11 a.m near Parker's childhood home in South Cumminsville to honor the right fielder's contributions to the Cincinnati community and his lasting impact on the sport of baseball, per a press release.

Cincinnati City councilmember Mark Jeffreys, Vice Mayor of Cincinnati Jan-Michele Lemon Kearney, Reds Hall of Famers George Foster and Ron Oester, South Cumminsville Community Council president Derrick Feagin, and other Reds officials will be in attendance. Parker, along with some of his friends and family, will also be present for the renaming ceremony.

Parker and his family moved to Borden Street in South Cumminsville when he was seven. He attended Courter Tech High School before being drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1970.

Parker remains one of the most significant free-agent signings in Reds history. Parker hit .281 with 107 home runs and 432 RBIs in four seasons for the Reds from 1984 through 1987. He was a two-time All-Star for the Reds and finished second in National League MVP voting in 1985 and fifth in 1986.

Parker revealed in 2013 that he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. He was inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame in 2014.

Dave Parker Way is the latest Cincinnati street to be renamed after a Reds player.

In April, a section of Mehring Way was renamed Barry Larkin Way. In 1985, Second Street was renamed Pete Rose Way, and the stretch of Main Street in front of Great American Ball Park was named for Joe Nuxhall in 2008. Portions of Second Street and Broadway outside the ballpark were also renamed Johnny Bench Way in 2011.
