Sophia Richie Just Welcomed a Baby Girl
She may be less than a week old, but Sofia Richie Grainge's daughter is already following in her mother's footsteps, racking up thousands of Instagram likes on the post announcing her birth.
Sofia shared the news to her myriad social media followers this afternoon, unveiling a sweet photo of the baby's feet cupped lovingly in her parents's hands. "Eloise Samantha Grainge," she wrote in a caption for the post, revealing her daughter's name. "5.20.24 best day of my life"
Little Eloise is Sofia's first child with husband, record executive Elliot Grainge. Grainge is the son of Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge, a longtime friend and collaborator of Sofia's music icon father, Lionel Richie. The Couple married in lavish style in 2023, with a wedding attended by the likes of Cameron Diaz, Talita von Furstenberg, and Princess Olympia of Greece. They announced that they were expecting in January of this year. Since then Richie has continued to document her pregnancy style to her 11 million (and counting) Instagram followers and 3.7 million TikTok followers, but it's not clear how much we can expect to see of her new addition online.
“We don’t live out our whole lives on Instagram," Sofia told T&C in our September 2023 cover story. "We know when to turn it off.” She added, “The truth is I’ve had a pretty lucky life, and I always try to remember that. It’s already been more than I could have dreamed of.”
