Sooo Harry Styles Reportedly Skipped the Met Gala to Avoid Olivia Wilde and EmRata
Harry Styles was notably absent from the 2023 Met Gala, a huge blow for those of us who were hoping he’d once again show up in a billowing sheer blouse. And apparently, his decision to skip the event had everything to do with not wanting to run into Olivia Wilde and Emily Ratajkowski.
The Daily Mail spoke to a source who said, “Harry was invited to the Met Gala, but knowing that both of them were definitely going, he avoided it like it was the bubonic plague.”
Apparently, Harry was “told by his team that they would take all necessary steps to ensure that there was no awkward run-in with Olivia, but he was not trying to risk it at all.” But “Harry has no desire to have a face-to-face encounter with Olivia at this time,” and “running into Olivia at an event with Emily would just be way too intense.”
As we all know, Harry and EmRata were spotted kissing back in March, a major plot twist in his love life considering that EmRata and Olivia are friends.
At the time, an insider told Page Six that Olivia “is staying far away from this and taking the high road. She is focused on her kids and her work. She wants nothing to do with this mess.”
Meanwhile, a source told Us Weekly that seeing EmRata and Harry making out definitely “upsets” Olivia, while another v dramatic insider told the Daily Mail that “Olivia and Emily were friends and this is a betrayal. Olivia does not want to be dragged into this mess and she refuses to go backward in her life. She is focused on her career and her kids and not giving this any more of her energy.”
So yeah, you can see why Harry showing up at the Met Gala would have been a bold move!
