Sonny’s BBQ opens in Macon. How about some pulled pork and sweet and smokey ribs?

Without a fanfare, Sonny’s BBQ opened Tuesday in Macon.

Sonny’s BBQ restaurants are known for their slow-smoked in-house Southern barbecue including pulled pork, beef brisket, smoked turkey, chicken and ribs.

This is the third Sonny’s BBQ in Middle Georgia for Brad Fink, owner of Prime Hospitality, a franchisee of Sonny’s BBQ. He opened the Warner Robins location in 1997 and the Perry location in 1999.

“We’re just so happy to be here in Macon,” said Fink, who lives nearby the new Macon location and was on site for the opening.

“We’re just fully hands-ons — everything from washing dishes to pit master duties,” said Fink who will rotate among his three restaurants.
