Sonic may be known for those footlong chili Cheddar hot dog Coneys served via carhop, but this drive-in fast-food chain has recently been adding plenty of new items to its already vast menu.

The beginning of 2024 brought us three new pulled pork offerings: a burger, sandwich, and tater tots. We were also introduced to the Peanut Butter Bacon Cheeseburger and matching shake that included crispy bacon bits. This month, Sonic launched the Blackout Slush Float, a cotton candy and dragon fruit-flavored soda topped with soft-serve ice cream and decorated with blue and purple sprinkles.

Sonic has two new offerings to look forward to this spring: frozen, refreshing, and downright decadent.

Sonic Launches Oreo Big Scoop Cheesecake Sundae and Blast

Sonic will soon release two new treats in April: Oreo Big Scoop Cheesecake Sundae and Blast. The sundae starts with a creamy vanilla soft serve topped with Oreo cookie pieces for a slight chocolaty crunch. The Blast is also made with vanilla soft serve with cheesecake flavoring and Oreo cookie pieces mixed in. Both the sundae and the Blast are topped off with a big scoop of Oreo cheesecake. The sundae starts at $3.99, and the Blast starts at $4.99 for a medium.

Instagram's markie_devo recently posted about the two new offerings with the caption, "OH MY GOODNESS!! This sounds forking amazing!! Sonic has a NEW OREO Big Scoop Cheesecake Sundae & Blast."

Many were quick to comment, with one person saying, "If you tell me this is an April Fools joke I'll cry...oreo and cheesecake are my favorite things ever this is amazing." Someone else added, "BOTH of these 2 treats look absolutely delicious!!"

These new treats will hit Sonic locations nationwide on April 1, and no, it is not an April Fool's joke. However, you can only nab these two cold treats at participating locations until June 2, while supplies last, so try them while you can.
