The season opens Monday – weather permitting -- and 65 varsity softball teams across Central Jersey are gearing up for the 2024 campaign across three conferences and five counties. Like every season, we will have big-time performances from returning players and emergent stars.

Here are 43 of those players, each coming off big seasons for their clubs, back and ready to resume their dominance on the diamond in the Skyland Conference, Skyland Conference and the southwestern part of the Union County Conference, as their teams contend in the conferences, county tournaments and look to go deep in the NJSIAA state tournament this spring.
