Snow in South Jersey? Here's what we know now about weekend winter weather

South Jersey could finally see its first measurable snow since 2022.

A few random spots of flurries later this week could give way to a weekend storm, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service said that a potential for 3 to 4 inches of snow is not out of the question for some parts of the region, with a few areas mostly getting rain.

The clearest picture of potential impact will come sometime Thursday, but the NWS is suggesting residents make preparations for any outcome this weekend, with the storm coming in Saturday evening and lasting through Sunday morning.

Here is what the current forecast suggests for South Jersey:

Will Burlington County get snow?

Currently, parts of Burlington County that are closer to Philadelphia should prepare to see some snow.

As you begin to go southeast, you can expect to see rain and potential flooding according to the National Weather Service.

Is snow expected in Camden County?

Half of Camden County closer to the I-95 corridor should be prepared for snow.

Just like Burlington County, as you begin to move east, you will see rain potential flooding.

Rain or snow at the shore?

As of right now, shore-town residents should not expect any snow.

The National Weather Service is predicting only rain for the Cape May and Atlantic counties areas.

Wet or white in Cumberland County?

Residents in Cumberland County are more likely to see rain than snow when the storm comes in, the NWS said.

Snow for Gloucester County?

Half of Gloucester County, closer to the I-95 corridor, should be prepared to see snow. As you move east toward the coast, the National Weather Service is predicting only rain the area.

Will Salem County get snow?

Half of Salem County, closer to the I-95 corridor, should be prepared for snow; just like other counties, as you begin moving east toward the coast, expect to only see rain.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
