Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers will not be open in time for Kings Island's opening day this Saturday.

The ride will be a part of Camp Snoopy, an expansion of Planet Snoopy that is scheduled to open in late spring.

Camp Snoopy will also include Beagle Scout Acres, a shaded interactive play area meant to emulate a day at camp. At Beagle Scout Acres, the classic "Peanuts" characters will guide kids through "camptivities" throughout the day, giving parents a chance to relax.

The new kids' area is located between the Rivertown entrance and the walkway to Soak City and Picnic Grove.

Tickets for opening day Saturday can be purchased at the Kings Island website. Hours for opening day are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
