Six men charged after cannabis farm found in Leeds

Six men have been charged after a cannabis farm with a street value of £1m was discovered at a property in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police raided the premises on Upper Accommodation Street in the East End Park area of the city on Sunday.

All six men have been charged with production of a Class B drug and have been remanded in custody.

They are due to appear at Leeds Crown Court on 20 June.

The men are: Sandel-Lucian Butara, 33; Andi Cjapi, 24; Ilirjan Pilo, 23; Besnik Sulovari, 26; Valter Sulovari, 27, and Emiljano Tumani, 29.

Mr Butara is of Lawson Street, Manchester, and the rest are of no fixed abode.

The discovery was made after an operation led by the force's North West Neighbourhood Policing Team and its Inner East Neighbourhood Policing Team.
