A $200,000 winning lottery ticket was recently sold in Columbia, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.

Now the search is on for the person who bought the Palmetto Cash 5 game at a gas station/convenience story, lottery officials said in a news release.

The winning numbers — 11, 12, 13, 26, 27, and Power-Up: 2 — were drawn Tuesday.

The winning ticket was sold at the Publix super market at 150 Harbison Boulevard. That’s in a popular shopping district between St. Andrews Road and Interstate 26.

The ticket buyer bought the Powered-Up option for $1, which doubled the prize to $200,000, according to the release.

The winner has 180 days to claim the prize, according to lottery officials.

The winner will be allowed to retain some privacy, as South Carolina is one of eight states — along with Delaware, Kansas, Georgia, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio and Texas — that allow lottery winners to remain anonymous.

The odds of winning $200,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 878,399-to-1, according to the release.

“Sign the back of your ticket and put it in a safe location until you’re ready to come forward to claim the prize,” lottery officials said.

The Publix on Harbison will receive a commission of $2,000 for selling the winning ticket when it is turned into lottery officials.

This was the second time in a week that a $200,000 winning Palmetto Cash 5 ticket was sold in the Midlands.

On Dec. 30, a ticket purchased at Pops in Ridgeway matched the winning numbers, officials said. The convenience store/gas station is at 752 U.S. 21.

The winning numbers in that drawing were 5, 6, 7, 20, 30, along with Power Up: 2.
