“Siesta Key” Star Kelsey Owens Marries Max Strong: 'That's My Husband!!'

The couple announced their engagement in September 2023 after nearly three years of dating

Kelsey Owens has tied the knot!

The model and Siesta Key alum, 27, married Max Strong on Saturday, May 4. The couple announced the happy news in a joint Instagram post that same day, declaring: "Now introducing Mr. & Mrs. Strong!!!"

They also shared two photos from their nuptials, one of which captured Strong dipping Owens as they kissed in the aisle following their ceremony. The second image featured a close-up of their hands, newly accessorized with wedding bands.

Owens commented on the post, "THATS MY HUSBAND!!😍🥰."

Both the bride and groom also shared plenty of wedding highlights on their respective Instagram Stories. Owens took her followers behind the scenes of her bridal glam session, showing the before and after in a short clip. She also gave a glimpse of the pair's classic white wedding cake made by Dolled Up Cakes, as well as her chic rehearsal dinner look, a white minidress with off-the-shoulder puff sleeves.

Owens also posted a video showing the newlyweds and their wedding party making a lively entrance at the reception.

Strong, meanwhile, captured a fun clip of the wedding party waiting to walk down the aisle before the ceremony, calling the group "the squad."

Owens and Strong, a wildlife conservationist, announced their engagement on Instagram in September 2023 after more than three years of dating. According to Owens' post, Strong popped the question in a sunset oceanside proposal while the pair was enjoying a getaway in Mykonos, Greece.

“WE’RE ENGAGED BABY!!!💍🤍,” she wrote in the caption. “It’s crazy that a day I’ve dreamt about since I was a little girl has arrived. I think the younger me would be so happy to know she has a man who takes care of her, puts a smile on her face, and loves her like no one ever has before.”

She went on to reveal that the proposal took her completely by surprise. “Max…since the day I met you, you’ve never failed to surprise me and this day was NO different. You make my life like a fairytale so I truly thought this was just another night together shooting photos in a gorgeous location," she continued. "Little did I know you were about to change my life forever.”

As for her oval-shaped diamond engagement ring, she raved: "I can’t stop looking at it 🥹."

Strong commented on Owens' engagement post, writing, “So lucky to be able to call you mine. You deserve the world Kelsey and I can’t wait to give it to you. It’s us forever now 🙏🏼.”

Owens previous told The Dipp that the pair first met at Siesta Key star Jared Kelderman's birthday party, and also crossed paths on the MTV series — which Owens appeared in from 2017 to 2022 — as Strong made a few cameos on the show.

"I met Max there and some of our other friends he was staying with, and we all kind of just hung out, went boating, and we were just friends for the most part at first, and then over time we grew into more than friends," she recalled to the outlet in June 2021.

The two went public with their romance in August 2020, both posting separate Instagram posts to celebrate their love.

“Mine💚,” Owens wrote in the caption of her post. “Max, words can’t begin to express how grateful I am that you came into my life this past year. Thank you for staying by my side through all the dysfunction and accepting me for exactly who I am(even if I piss you off sometimes).”

In his own post, Strong reflected on the synchronicity of Owens coming into his life at that moment. “When your guard is down and you’re just being your true authentic self, that’s when you can attract exactly what you’re looking for without even trying,” he wrote. “Safe to say I’ve found that with this girl right here.”

He added: “Our story is just beginning Kelsey, and I couldn’t be more excited to see where this journey takes us. Thank you for being you, you’re my person 🙏🏼.”
