What Shreveport area schools will be closed on Monday after severe thunderstorms?

Due to widespread power outages and impacted roadways behind Sunday’s sever thunderstorms, schools have closed for Monday, April 29.

Below is a list of closures.

Caddo Parish Public Schools

All Caddo Parish schools will be closed on Monday.

Just before 10 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, the Caddo Parish School Board announced that all parish schools will be closed on April 29.

According to the school board, this closure is due to widespread power outages and impacted roadways.

Marquel Sennet, Director of Communications and Marketing said in an email, “We are working with our utility partners to develop a plan for reopening schools.”
