Shots ring out in parking lot at Victory Grill in Fresno after 49ers and Lions game

The Fresno Police Department was investigating a shooting night that took place near the Me-N-Ed’s Pizzeria Victory Grill and Yosemite Falls Cafe after the NFC championship game.

Fresno police Lt. Marcus Gray said the shooting happened at 7:20 p.m. in the parking lot inside of the business complex on the east side of Cedar Avenue at Farrin Way.

Gray said after the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions playoff game that a couple of fans were leaving the establishment and got into a fight in the parking lot over the outcome.

During the fight, one of the individuals brandished and fired a gun at the others.

“Physical evidence was collected, however at this time we have not located any shooting victims,” Gray said.

The investigation was ongoing.

Officers canvassed the area for surveillance video, evidence and talked to multiple witnesses, Gray said.
