Shots fired in Stuarts Draft area, no 'active shooter,' sheriff's office says

STUARTS DRAFT — Despite rumors online, there was not an "active shooter" situation Thursday afternoon in Stuarts Draft.

Shots, though, were fired during a domestic incident, according to the Augusta County Sheriff's Office. No injuries were reported. The incident took place on Wilda Road in the Stuarts Draft area.

Raymond G. Allen, 35, of Stuarts Draft, has been taken into custody.

Additional information is expected be released later on Thursday, the sheriff's office said.
