Player of the Week winners will be honored at IndyStar's Indiana Sports Awards this spring.
Here are this week's nominees.
Laila Abdurraqib, Lawrence Central
The junior led the Bears to their first sectional championship since the 1980s, picking up 22 points in a 54-39 win over Warren Central on Saturday. Abdurraqib was equally excellent in the semifinals vs. rival Lawrence North, delivering a series of key baskets, including a six-point run late in the first half that sparked her side.
Madisyn Bailey, Bedford North Lawrence
Bailey scored a career-high 24 points to lead the Stars to a 43-39 win over Jennings County and their 13th consecutive sectional championship Saturday.
Sammie Bolding, Eastern Hancock
The Royals cruised to their second consecutive sectional championship thanks in large part to Bolding. The senior picked up 25 points on 7-of-12 shooting with a pair of assists in the opener vs. Triton Central, then logged 17 points and a pair of steals in the championship game vs. Scecina.
Lexi Castator, FW Northrop
The senior closed out her career with a bang, netting 34 points as Northrop took FW Snider down to the wire Tuesday night in a 64-60 loss. Castator shot 62% from the field, added eight rebounds and logged a steal.
Bradie Chambers, Linton-Stockton
Chambers helped orchestrate a take down of Class 2A No. 1 North Knox on Saturday, accounting for 33 of her team's 43 points. It was the first home loss in three years for North Knox and Linton's second sectional championship since its 2021 state championship run.

Alex DeLisle, Speedway
DeLisle netted a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds Saturday to lift the Sparkplugs to a 52-42 win over Purdue Poly and their first sectional championship in 11 years.
Addison Duncan, Bishop Chatard
The multi-sport senior shined last week for the sectional champion Trojans, netting 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting vs. Brebeuf Jesuit, five points over 14 minutes in a rout of Shortridge and 11 in the sectional championship game vs. Heritage Christian.
Rielyn Goodwin, Northridge
The junior totaled 46 points across three games for the sectional champion Raiders, with a game-high 16 points in Saturday's championship game vs. Penn. Goodwin scored 15 points and pulled in five rebounds vs. Warsaw, then matched that point total with three assists and three steals against Elkhart.
Vivian Hafner, Covenant Christian
Hafner drilled eight 3-pointers and racked up a game-high 30 points to lead Covenant Christian to a 56-47 triumph over University in the sectional semifinals.
Gabby Helsom, Homestead
Helsom scored a game-high 28 points against FW South Side, then put up 13 points to help lead the Spartans to an upset win over Columbia City in Saturday's final. Homestead has won six consecutive sectional championships.
Taylor Lewis, Cathedral
The Villanova volleyball commit went for 13 points on 6-of-14 shooting with five rebounds (three offensive) vs. Lawrence North in her final high school basketball game. Lewis finished the year averaging 12 points and over 10 rebounds per game.
Kamara Mills, Lawrence North
The senior scored 16 points on 4-of-5 shooting with a couple rebounds vs. Cathedral. Mills also delivered a few key 3-pointers in a semifinals loss to Lawrence Central.
Samantha Redinger, Argos
The high-scoring senior went for 34 points on 10-of-21 shooting (11-for-11 on free throws) in a 47-43 win over Westville on Wednesday. She also pulled in seven rebounds and dished out two assists.
Paige Schnaus, Gibson Southern
The freshman delivered her best performance of the season in the sectional semifinals vs. Evansville Memorial, picking up six rebounds and a team-high 16 points, including the game-winning layup with under two seconds remaining.

Saniya Smith, Pike
Smith, a freshman, strung together three straight field goals to seize control for Pike in the sectional semifinals vs. Roncalli, then matched teammate Morgan Crowe for the team-high with 16 points in the championship game vs. Plainfield.
Meredith Tippner, Noblesville
Tippner helped spark a semifinal win over Fishers, tallying 27 points on 12-0f-18 shooting, then converted a pair of critical free throws and pulled in nine rebounds to beat Hamilton Southeastern in the championship game. The junior also logged seven rebounds, three assists and three steals against Fishers.

Sydney Waldron, Greenwood Christian Academy
Waldron cleared 1,000 career points amidst a 33-point, eight-steal outing vs. Providence Cristo Rey in the sectional semifinals.
Berkeley Williams, Plainfield
The sophomore scored a team-high 29 points to lead the sectional champion Quakers to a 73-62 triumph over Brownsburg on Friday.
Brooke Winchester, Warsaw
The junior logged 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting with a game-high 19 rebounds, three assists and a steal in the sectional quarterfinals vs. Northridge. Winchester finished the season averaging 15.4 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2 steals over 22 games.
