New Shore boys lacrosse standouts emerge. 15 top players from last week

We're near the end of the regular season for boys lacrosse and some underclassmen have been emerging.

With close games and blowouts, it makes for a lot of interesting seedings heading into the Shore Conference Tournament. Nonetheless, here are 15 standouts from last week (April 29 to May 5).

The Lehigh University commit came up big in Friday's 7-4 win over Rumson-Fair Haven with four goals to lead the Warriors. Manasquan snapped a five-year unbeaten streak the Bulldogs had in conference play.

Quinn Kelly, CBA, Jr.

The longstick midfielder and Harvard commit scored a goal against Moorestown. He also had two assists in a win over Shore Regional on Wednesday.

Gary Collyer, Holmdel, Sr.

The midfielder scored two goals in both games against Wall and Manalapan last week. He also tallied seven ground balls over those games as well.

Andrew Pape, Red Bank Regional, Sr.

The midfielder has been on a scoring tear the past couple games. His latest efforts was five goals and four assists against Southern Regional, plus four goals and assists each in a win over Red Bank Catholic last week.

Connor Doel, Manalapan, So.

In his first full year starting the goalie made 11 saves against Middletown North on Monday and six saves against Toms River East on Wednesday. In both games he only allowed four goals total.

Gavin Reid, Point Pleasant Boro, Sr.

The defensive midfielder scored four goals and had two assists in a win over Jackson Memorial on Wednesday.

Gerard Uzzolino, Toms River East, Fr.

At the attack position, the freshman scored three goals and had an assist in a win over Toms River South on Monday.

Noah Fleming, Middletown North, Fr.

The midfielder had two goals and an assist in a close 6-5 win over Ocean Township on Wednesday.

Ben Girard, Ocean Township, Sr.

He had four goals in a win over Lacey on Monday in the Spartans only win over the week.

Luke Petino, Colts Neck, Sr.

In the Cougars only win last week over Neptune, Petino finished with three goals and five assists for his team.

Andrew Baltus, Donovan Catholic, Sr.

The midfielder had a season-high seven goals in a win over New Brunswick Saturday. He also won 13 out of 23 face-offs in that same game.

Jeff White, Jackson Liberty, So.

Despite the struggles as a team last week, the sophomore still had four goals and an assist against Lacey on Wednesday.

Jack Deufemia, Brick Memorial, So.

The midfielder had five goals and two assists in a 14-0 win over St. Rose on Wednesday.

Seamus Gorman, Rumson-Fair Haven, Fr.

Although the Bulldogs faced their struggles last week with losses, the freshman goalie still managed to make enough saves to keep their opponents from scoring double figures.

Owen Richter, Middletown South, Sr.

The Brown University commit and defenseman had two goals on Saturday against Southern.
