New ShopRite opening in Old Bridge hiring for 300 jobs

The new ShopRite in Old Bridge expected to open next month is looking to fill hundreds of full- and part-time positions.

ShopRite plans to hire approximately 300 employees ahead of the official opening date which has yet to be announced. Jobs include department managers, butchers, deli, bakery, dairy, produce and seafood associates, customer service associates, cashiers, baggers and more.

Applicants can visit the hiring office next door to the new supermarket, in the Glenwood Green Shopping Center at Route 9 and Schulmeister Road, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Information is also available at the careers section at ShopRite.com.

Glenwood Green will be anchored by the 80,475-square-foot ShopRite and a 134,280-square-foot Target, which is expected to open in the spring.

Other businesses coming to Glenwood Green include Shake Shack, Chipotle, Duck Donuts, honeygrow and Wawa.

“We look forward to continuing our commitment to the community with a brand new store and are eager to welcome new team members to the ShopRite family,” Perry Blatt, director of e-commerce and business development for Village Super Market, Inc., said in a press release.

Village Super Market operates ShopRite, Gourmet Garage and Fairway Market stores throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. The new store in Old Bridge will incorporate a wide selection of groceries and fresh produce, bakery, seafood and meat departments, along with chef-prepared meals, gourmet sandwiches, sushi and soup offerings, and coffee and juice bars, according to Village Super Market.
