Shaquille O’Neal joins Georgia law enforcement

Who is the man that would risk his neck for his brother, man? Shaq.

Shaquille O’Neal has teamed up with Henry County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia to serve as the department’s Director of Community Relations, BET reports.

In his new role, the Hall of Fame NBA superstar will reportedly work to bridge “the gap” between law enforcement and the community it serves.

The 7-foot-1 former center, who retired from basketball in 2011, was made an honorary deputy in Broward County, Fla., in 2019 He has also been a U.S. Deputy Marshall since 2005.

O’Neil appeared on NBC’s “Today Show” Thursday, where he talked about missing his old teammate, Kobe Bryant, who was killed in a helicopter crash on Jan. 26, 2020.

“I always say we were the most dominant one-two punch ever created,” O’Neal said. “Enigmatic, controversial, having fun. And there’ll never be another like us.”

Bryant and O’Neal won three consecutive NBC championships with the Los Angeles Lakers, starting in 2000.
