Shania Twain Shares Candid Opinion on Taylor Swift's 'Exhausting Existence'

Shania Twain; Taylor Swift

Shania Twain is the latest celebrity to speak out on the influence Taylor Swift is having on the world.

In a new profile with Haute Living, the "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" songstress gave her honest thoughts on Swift, boldly claiming that the 34-year-old superstar is living an "exhausting existence."

While talking to the publication about her successful music career, Twain, 58, said she is "most proud" of herself for having "the courage to take risks" and for being "so hard-working and dedicated."

That's when she compared herself to the "Anti-Hero" artist, whom Twain described as the perfect example of someone who isn't afraid of hard work.

"That girl is working her butt off," Twain said of Swift, who is currently gearing up to release her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department later this week. "She is living an exhausting existence."

"She's dedicated and committed to herself, to her art, and her work," Twain continued, explaining, "It isn't even about ambition, though I'm sure that most people would call her ambitious."

Instead, Twain said Swift's success is largely due to the fact that the 14-time Grammy winner is "an extremely hard worker."

"And I'm sure she's got giant goals," she added. "But it's not all about ambition: it's about passion and committing yourself to your passion. [Like Taylor], I was and am someone who does that, and that's what really reaps rewards. So, I would say that I'm most proud of my perseverance, and that I didn't waste my talents."

Twain's kind words about Swift are drastically different from what Courtney Love recently had to say about the "Enchanted" songstress, calling her "not important" in a new interview published last week.

"She might be a safe space for girls, and she's probably the Madonna of now, but she's not interesting as an artist," Love, 59, asserted, though her comments were notably unpopular among the Swiftie community.
