Shakira has a new man in her life, and we can’t help but think she manifested this one from the start.

The Colombian singer was spotted out on a dinner date with Emily in Paris star Lucien Laviscount on Tuesday night in New York City. They were photographed walking together in coordinating all-black looks, after grabbing a bite at Italian hot spot Carbone.

The date followed Lucien cheering on Shakira at her performance in Times Square earlier in the evening.

While the pairing seems unexpected, we can’t say we didn’t see this romance coming. As Shakira fans know, Lucien appeared as her love interest in the video for “Puntería,” the hot latest hit single from her new album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. He and Shakira shared a joint Instagram post featuring stills from the video, in which a half-naked Laviscount embraces and kisses the global star, who wears a flirty pink dress, pink hair, and pink makeup.

In “Puntería,” which translates to aim in English, Shakira sings about a lover who knows how to please her. The hit was released on March 22 alongside Las Mujeres, the singer’s 12th studio album. On Sunday, Lucien shared an Instagram post that seemed to wink at his cameo with Shakira—and their potentially budding romance. “Shooting my shot … ” he wrote alongside a photo of himself playing pool solo, in a dimly lit room. Of course, fans quickly took his comment to mean he was shooting his shot with Shakira—which, it seems he did.

For the pair’s first known public date, the singer looked incredible in a black lace-up corset top with leather strings and black satin cargo pants from Off-White. She matched the bottoms with silky, pointed-toe platform heels and stayed warm with a black faux-fur-lined jacket. She accessorized with a black shoulder bag with a chunky silver chain strap, and several silver rings.

The British actor looked cool in a black and gray leather racing jacket layered over a classic black T-shirt and paired with what look like loose convertible black pants (similar to Balenciaga’s controversial Zip-Off Ripstop cargo pants.) He finished the look with chunky black boots, a gray cashmere scarf, black square sunglasses, and a gold ring.

The alleged romance comes nearly two years after Shakira split from longtime ex Gerard Piqué, the relationship that inspired her new album.
