Was Shai Gilgeous-Alexander snubbed in NBA MVP voting? Shaquille O'Neal thinks so

Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished second in NBA Most Valuable Player voting and Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal wasn't happy about it.

Can't say you blame him, right?

Despite leading the Thunder to a surprise No. 1 seed in the rugged Western Conference, voters overwhelmingly selected Nuggets center Nikola Jokic to win his third NBA MVP award.

“I don’t like to rain on people’s parade, but I’m not happy with this one,” O'Neal said on the TNT pregame show before Wednesday night's Knicks-Pacers game. "I felt Shai deserved it."

Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 30.1 points, 6.2 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game this season.

Current and former Thunder teammates chimed in on social media, including Jalen Williams posting his patented thumbs down.
