Serena Willams Is a Golden Goddess on the Met Gala Red Carpet 1 Year After Met Pregnancy Reveal
It’s hard to believe that it’s been one year since Serena Williams announced her second pregnancy on the Met Gala red carpet. And yet, here we are again. But instead of walking the red carpet with a surprise plus one, the 42-year-old tennis star is turning heads for an entirely different reason.
Styled by Kesha McLeod, tonight Williams looked absolutely gorgeous in a Balenciaga gold metallic gown, which featured a show-stopping train. While embodying this year’s theme, “The Garden of Time,” the mother of two rocked a gold headpiece, which coordinated with her outfit perfectly. She paired the golden number with black opera gloves with matching black stockings and stiletto heels.
As for her hair? The Grand Slam champ rocked straight blond locks with a chic middle part.

This time last year, Williams wore one of her go-to brands, Gucci, to the Met Gala. The tennis athlete’s ensemble included a bedazzled bolero jacket and skirt, accessorized with stacks of pearl necklaces and a billowy white tulle skirt.

Williams welcomed her second daughter, Adira River Ohanian, back in August. Her husband, Alexis Ohanian, 41, shared the exciting news on his personal Instagram page.
Along with a photo of the new family of four, he wrote in the caption,“Welcome, Adira River Ohanian,” the caption read. “I'm grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama. Feeling grateful.”
Ohanian continued, “@serenawilliams you've now given me another incomparable gift — you're the GMOAT. Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife & our daughter [prayer emoji] I'll never forget the moment I introduced @olympiaohanian to her baby sister.”
