Alexia Hamm Ryan, Scott Snyder and Silvia Zoullas were co-chairs for the sold-out evening, which began in the garden with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and lots of catching up from the summer absence.

After cocktails, guests moved to the dining room, which co-chair/designer Snyder transformed into a sea of red ― the favorite color of the late Oakley Debbs, for whom the charity is named ― with hundreds of red flowers and tables covered in red cloths and centered with sparkling red sneakers.

After a welcome from Merrill and Robert DebbsOakley's parents and the founders of the organization ― guests tucked into a dinner of sliced filet mignon, au gratin potatoes and roasted root vegetables.

Alina Machado of NBC6 was the night's guest speaker and shared her personal insights and experiences with food allergies.

The evening's wildest action was during the live auction, where the offering of a red Vespa donated by Dana Koch sparked frenzied bidding. John Hendrickson was the eventual winner of the Vespa, which he promptly gave to his neighbor's teenaged daughter.

Said teenager was thrilled. Mother of said teenager, not so much.

The night continued with red velvet cake for dessert and music by Wayne Hosford.

More than 120 people attended.

Committee members included Sara Ayres, Caroline Dean, Ellen Niven Deery, Elizabeth Gordon, Helen Gordon, Judith Guest, Dr. Ruchi Gupta, Heather Henry, Suzanne Johnson, Annie Cardelus Jones, Bridget Koch, Talbott Maxey, Nicole Menges, Calvert Moore, Kerri Myers, Mary Kathryn Navab, Alison Pappas, Wilder Regalbuto, Vanessa Rooks, Alexandra Rose, Missy Savage, Amanda Taylor and Kathy Thomas.

Proceeds assist Red Sneakers for Oakley in its mission to advance and advocate food allergy awareness.
