SEE IT: Woman and man spit on each other, fight at gas station amid fears of gas shortage
Spit really hit the fan.
A man and a woman spat on each other before getting into a fight at a North Carolina gas station, as seen in a viral video shared Tuesday.
The woman appears to spit into the driver’s window of a parked car before a man gets out and spits toward her, the footage posted on Instagram by the user @shaaddeez shows.
The dispute occurred after the woman’s car collided with the man’s after she tried to cut a line for a gas pump at a Marathon station in Knightdale, the Instagram user said, according to local news station WRAL.
The man was charged with assault on a female, as well as damage to personal property after Knightdale cops responded to the incident, NBC News reported.
The woman, meanwhile, was handed a simple assault charge.
The incident occurred amid concerns of running out of fuel throughout the East Coast after the Colonial Pipeline was closed down following a ransomware attack.
Gas prices exceeded $3 per gallon on Wednesday as many attempted to fill up their cars.
Knightdale is about 13 miles east of downtown Raleigh.
