See who's making their way into Acushnet town government this election season.

ACUSHNET — With no contested races on the ballot, it's looking to be a quiet town election in Acushnet this year. However, it won't be inconsequential, as it will still bring new faces onto some boards.

The uncontested newcomers are as follows: Francis L. Mello is running for a three-year term on the Board of Assessors, to replace Matthew D. Lopes, who is not seeking re-election.

Peter John Giampa is running to fill an already vacant spot on the Planning Board to serve the remainder of an unexpired term ending April 28, 2026.

Alan S. Miner is running for a three-year term on Free Public Library Board of Trustees, replacing member Jennifer M. Alves.

Meanwhile, the Commission of Trust Funds has two openings: one for three-years, and another for the remainder of an unexpired term ending April 29, 2025, according to the Acushnet Town Clerk's Office.
