SEE IT: Star-studded trailer drops for ‘Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special’
She’s giving us a lot for Christmas.
The trailer for “Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special,” heading to Apple TV+ next week, dropped Friday morning, boasting as many stars as wintry nods.
“This Christmas, we could all use a little magic,” the Long Island-born singer, 50, announced in a glitzy number.
The trailer — which opens with Tiffany Haddish reading a revised version of “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” that acknowledges the “rough” year we’ve all had — is punctuated by Carey’s Christmas anthem, “All I Want for Christmas is You.”
The details are scarce in the new clip, but festive colors, costumes, and stars abound, offering flashes of Ariana Grande, Billy Eichner, Jennifer Hudson, Misty Copeland, Jermaine Dupri and Snoop Dogg dressed as Santa.
“The Special finds the world faced with a holiday cheer crisis, which the North Pole knows only one person can solve: Santa’s great friend, Mariah Carey,” Apple TV+ stated in a release.
“Combining musical performances, dynamic dancing and groundbreaking animation, the undisputed Queen of Christmas jumps into action to create a holiday spectacular to make the whole world merry.”
Carey’s new soundtrack single, “Oh Santa!” — which features Grande and Hudson — and accompanying music video will be released on Dec. 4, the same day the special hits the Apple streamer.
